Overall Chair

Dr. Alex T. Junia

Dr. Junia is a graduate of Cebu Institute of Medicine, Class of 1993. He had his residency training in Internal Medicine in Cebu Velez General Hospital, and fellowship training in adult cardiology as well as subspecialty training in vascular medicine at Philippine Heart Center. He is a fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians, Philippine Society of Vascular Medicine, European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, and of ASEAN College of Cardiology.

He is the President-Elect of the ASEAN Federation of Cardiology and is the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) Regional Regent for Visayas. He is also the secretary of the Philippine Society of Vascular Medicine. He is an associate professor 7 in CIM and is the Post-Graduate Internship Coordinator in CVGH.

Dr. Junia is a past president of the Philippine Heart Association from 2015-2016 and a past president of the Philippine College of Physicians Cebu Chapter from 2011-2012.

Scientific Committee

Dr. Jeremyjones F. Robles

The chairman of the scientific committee, Dr. Jeremyjones F. Robles is a graduate of the Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM). He finished his Post Graduate Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Cebu Velez General Hospital (CVGH). He then completed his Fellowship in Adult Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital (USTH) in Manila. Dr. Robles pursued further training on Medical Neuroendocrinology Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda Maryland. He returned to Cebu to help establish the first training program in Adult Endocrinology outside of Manila at the Chong Hua Hospital Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is an associate Professor at the Cebu Institute of Medicine and the Training Officer of the CVGH Department of Internal Medicine.
