Through an intensive one-year curriculum, participants of the Interaction Design Programme learn to embrace new technologies, engage in hands-on collaboration, and identify opportunities for innovative problem solving and building impact in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We place faith in diversity of experience, thinking, and culture—and impart skills for teamwork and communication, not just technical and design skills. Following a rigorous selection process, we choose individuals from all over the world and a wide range of backgrounds and career experiences to participate in the IDP, making it a dynamic and effective platform for peer-to-peer learning.
The beauty of CIID's life-centred approach to interaction design is that it can be a conduit between the individual and the complex systems that govern how we live. We hope that our graduates will go on to design products, systems, and services that serve as catalysts for more expansive thinking. There are things each of us can do to live a more sustainable lifestyle—but we need to act on a systemic level. Knowing this, we have formed collaborative partnerships between industry and education to design products and services that help people adapt and respond to a rapidly changing world.
