Título: A Gentle Invitation to the Fractional World
Investigador: Dr. José Vanterler de Sousa, Universidade Estadual do Maranhão, Brasil
Resumen: In this minicourse, we propose a brief introduction to two distinct and complementary contexts in the study of fractional operators.
First, we will introduce the Hilfer fractional derivative with respect to an implicit function $\psi$, discussing its definition, some of its fundamental properties, and relevant consequences. We will also address possible extensions and connections with other classes of fractional operators, together with comments on open problems and research perspectives.
Next, motivated by the fractional Laplacian and by nonlocal operators associated with implicit kernels, we will briefly introduce the generalized fractional Laplacian, highlighting some of its main properties, interpretations, and connections with the classical operator. We will also present comments on recent results, potential applications, and open problems in this direction.
Thus, the minicourse aims to provide an accessible yet mathematically consistent introduction to some contemporary ideas in the fractional world, encouraging participants to explore both the theoretical foundations and the possibilities for further research in this area.
