Welcome to this new school year 2025-2026!
Intensive ESL (IESL) with Ms. Arends is where elementary students, who are new in the acquisition in the English language, build upon their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and/or writing in order to join their grade level classmates in ELA (English Language Arts) classes as soon as possible.

Welcome parents and students to IESL! We're excited to embark on this English learning journey together.
In our classroom, we'll have fun, make mistakes (that's how we learn!), and respect each other. Here are a few ground rules:
Be an active listener! Raise your hand if you have a question.
Practice, practice, practice! Speak English as much as you can in class.
Homework helps! Complete assignments to the best of your ability.
Homework will be given regularly to reinforce what we learn in class. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We're here to support you!
