ELD - Ms. Serpone
Hello 3rd Grade Families!
Hello 3rd Grade Families!
Welcome to a wonderful new school year!
My name is Serena Serpone, and I am thrilled to be your child’s 3rd-grade English Language Development (ELD) teacher.
This year will be full of learning, growth, and fun.
Our classroom is a safe, supportive space where every language and culture is celebrated. Together, we will build your child’s confidence and help them shine in English!
Communication is key to your child's success. Please feel free to reach out at any time if you have questions, concerns, or want to share updates about your child.

ELD Expectations
ELD Expectations
The ELD program focuses on helping students quickly develop the English skills they need to succeed academically and socially. We will target four core language skills every day: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. In 3rd grade, we focus heavily on expanding vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing complete paragraphs. Our sessions are interactive and designed to support the work students do in their regular homeroom classrooms.
