Students are encouraged to seek out local problems and address them with a global mindset – truly active citizens. We urge them to be creative, enthusiastic and imaginative, experiment and take risks with their work and approach.
Students are encouraged to develop their design thinking skills and apply knowledge and skills developed across the curriculum. We look at how society and design interplay and encourage a view that sustainability and social justice are key elements in any 21st century approach to innovation, engineering and design. All in a safe and nurturing environment.
Students are encouraged to take part in a number of local, regional and national competitions and events. First Lego League, National Manufacturing Day at Hymid, Longitude Explorer, and many other STEM related activities across the year 7 to year 13 spectrum.
