Biology opens the door to a wide variety of further education courses and career pathways. Many Churston students take A level biology and go on to pursue higher education and apprenticeships within the field of biology, such as the health and medical professions, veterinary and animal care, pharmaceuticals, scientific research, medical engineering, sport and nature conservation.
In the words of theoretical physicist Freeman Dyson;
“Biology… enjoys bigger budgets, a bigger workforce, and achieves more major discoveries. Biology is likely to remain the biggest part of science through the twenty-first century.”
Our primary goal, however, is for all of our students to feel inspired by the diversity and complexity of life on earth, and to carry their learning from biology beyond their school years.
