Background and rationale:

One of the most important missions of graduate schools in physical therapy is to facilitate high-quality research and generate impactful knowledge that continually advances the profession. It is essential to provide opportunities for students, educators, and practicing physical therapists to exchange ideas, disseminate scientific findings, and establish international research collaborations.

In 2026, the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, is proud to host the International Physical Therapy Research Symposium 2026 (IPTRS 2026) under the theme “Bridging Science and Movement for a Healthier Tomorrow.” The following institutions will co-host the event: Consortium of Physical Therapy Education Institutions of Thailand; Physical Therapy Association of Thailand; Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University; Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University; Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Khon Kaen University; Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University; Faculty of Physical Therapy, Saint Louis College; Physical Therapy Department, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao; Department of Physical Therapy, School of Integrative Medicine, Mae Fah Luang University; Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University, Department of Physical Therapy, School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University; Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Naresuan University.

We believe that this symposium will serve as a vital platform for graduate students, researchers, educators, and physical therapists to present and exchange research findings, foster collaboration, and strengthen both national and international research networks in the field of physical therapy.
