Canterbury became an authorized IB World School in 2016. We began the journey of the IB's Primary Years Program in 2013 and have embraced the trans-disciplinary , inquiry-based philosophy ever since. IB returned to Canterbury January 11-12, 2021, for a virtual evaluation visit. We are thrilled with their positive comments and helpful suggestions to grow our PYP.
Do you have a child that has taken IB ACTION? Fill out this Canterbury Takes Action! Google form to let us know about a kind and caring act done, an action that is helping our planet, or an action that connects to the content being taught at school. These IB ACTIONS will be added to the bulletin board by the cafetaria.
The Learner Profile is 10 attributes that lead to international mindedness. At Canterbury, teachers use all 10 words throughout the day. As a school, we focus on 1 word a month. Please help us at home by trying some of these activities and ideas.
