What is Automotive Technology?
Automotive Technology is a certified program by National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation designed to prepare students for employment in the automotive industry. Students learn the necessary skills to perform service and repairs to today’s technologically advanced vehicles.
What will I learn in the junior year?
During this year, students learn shop operations and shop safety. Listed are the major areas of the curriculum covered in the junior year. Limited customer work is assigned to students who complete their units of study.

During this year, students apply the knowledge and skills learned during the junior year to work on customer’s cars. Senior year students disassemble engines while learning the theory of operation.

No, tools are provided; however, students are billed for lost or missing tools. Safety shoes and a uniform must be purchased.
