Mrs. Birdsall teaches Living Environment. She earned her Bachelors of Science and her Masters of Art in Teaching from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. She started teaching in Croton-Harmon in 2006.

Mrs. Birdsall would like to welcome you to science. This school year she will do her best to help all students take ownership over their learning by:

1) Providing students with hands-on, interactive experiences that inspire critical thinking, reflection, and self-assessment.

2) Teaching students appropriate study and note-taking strategies to help them organize content.

3) Establishing a classroom environment that allows each student to be creative and innovative through projects and research, as well as giving them choice in the matter.

4) Providing opportunities for students to collaborate in class and via technology.

5) Focusing on reading, writing, and vocabulary in science to improve student literacy skills.
