AP Environmental Science (APES) is a year-long course that is the equivalent to a one semester college level Environmental Science course. Students will be expected to take the AP Environmental Science test in May.

Environmental Science is the study of the way humans interact with their environment, both living and non-living components. The goal of this class is to raise awareness on the global and local environmental issues we face today and the interdisciplinary studies involved in solving issues. This college level course critically analyzes and develops ways to combat ​these environmental stresses.

In addition, APES students learn about environmental laws, environmental regulations, and environmental history. APES students must be good readers, writers and strong in math.
