☀️Meet Ms. Ellingsen💃

Hola, hola! I am teaching students at PVC using a combination of classroom push-in (working with students in their own classrooms collaboratively alongside the wonderful PVC faculty!) and mini-lessons during pull out classes that both preview and reinforce curriculum. Students commence the year by goal-setting as well as working on their own personal memoirs. Both allow students to hone in on their literacy skills and also their own unique message to the world!

*About Ms. Ellingsen: I hold a BA from Purchase College, and an MST in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Pace University. My goal is to provide students with a supportive, confidence-building classroom, where they learn not only from engaging content and lively discourse, but from one another as well. Every year-- my students teach me quite a bit about life as well. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, writing music, drawing, painting, playing the piano and guitar, and playing with my dogs.

¡Hola hola! Estoy enseñando a los estudiantes en PVC usando una combinación de clases push-in en el aula (¡trabajando con los estudiantes en sus propias aulas en colaboración junto con la maravillosa facultad de PVC!) Y mini lecciones durante las clases extraídas que brindan una vista previa y refuerzan el plan de estudios. Los estudiantes comienzan el año estableciendo metas y trabajando en sus propias memorias personales. ¡Ambos permiten a los estudiantes perfeccionar sus habilidades de alfabetización y también su propio mensaje único para el mundo!

* Acerca de la Sra. Ellingsen: Tengo una licenciatura de Purchase College y una maestría en TESOL (Enseñanza de inglés para hablantes de otros idiomas) de Pace University. Mi objetivo es brindarles a los estudiantes un salón de clases que les brinde apoyo y que les genere confianza, en el que aprendan no solo de contenido atractivo y discursos animados, sino también unos de otros. Todos los años, mis alumnos también me enseñan bastante sobre la vida. Fuera de la escuela, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos, escribir música, dibujar, pintar, tocar el piano y guitarra, y jugar con mis perros.
