Mrs. Southwick teaches Humanities [9th grade interdisciplinary English and Social Studies] and Global 10. In both courses students will be strengthening their Thinking Like a Historian Skills by connecting past events to modern day events. Additionally, Mrs. Southwick is the advisor for the Freshman Class, Interact Club Advisor and co-advisor for Big Buddies.
This will be her third year at Croton-Harmon High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in History and Social Studies from SUNY Cortland and received her Master's Degree in Literacy Education from Pace University. Prior to arriving at CHHS, Mrs. Southwick taught in Brooklyn for eight years.Â
