Boolean Search: Boolean Operators are words or symbols used to combine or exclude keywords in a search. The most popular are the terms: and, or, and - [the minus sign to exclude]

Quotation marks: Used to enclose all words in a phrase to limit search to that phrase, rather than looking for all words/meanings within the phrase.

Domain: URL descriptors that suggest the origin/purpose of internet links. The most common is .com, which generally designates a commercial site, which is less desirable for research. Beneficial research sites often reflect the domains .edu (education), .org (an organization), .gov (government) and .mil (military).
