AP Government

What do you learn in AP government?

This course teaches young citizens about the institutions of U.S. and State government. Including the foundations of our Constitution, and the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Additionally, students will learn the importance of performing civic duties and being involved in local government. Students will participate in current issue discussions, simulations of the political process, and service learning.

Requirements:

  • Binder - 1 1/2 inch or larger

  • Notebook, something to write with

  • U.S. Constitution Test

  • IL Constitution Test

  • Civic Engagement Project

  • The opportunity to take the AP Exam and earn college credit
