About me:

I graduated from Illinois State University in December 2013 with a degree in History/Social Sciences Education and a minor in Biology. I received my masters from NorthEastern Illinois University in Educational Leadership in 2019. I was lucky enough to have my student teaching experience here at LCHS and to be hired on as a full-time teacher in the Social Studies Department in 2014. Throughout the past few years I have taught a variety of courses including Global Studies, Psychology, Government, and AP U.S. Government and Politics. Additionally, I have been the sponsor of Psychology Club and Interact Club. I have truly enjoyed my experience in District 117 and being able to teach with wonderful students and families.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending my time with my family and my animals. I have two beagles, Bonnie and Clyde! Follow them on instagram @advntrs_of_bonnie_and_clyde . My husband and I enjoy mountain biking and kayaking together.

I also enjoy riding and being at the barn with my horse, Jetta. Currently we are focusing on dressage and had a fun time showing this summer! Horseback riding is my other passion as I spend most of my summertime at the barn!
