Sequoit to Sequoit (a division of Link Crew) is a transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year of high school. Each freshman is assigned to an S2S Squad led by upperclassmen leaders. As positive role models, leaders guide their squad to discover what it takes to be successful in their high school years.
Studies show that if students have a positive experience during their freshman year, their chance for success increases dramatically. This program provides the structure for freshmen to receive support and guidance from their Leaders who have been through the challenges that high school poses.
ALL freshmen are included in this program. They will meet during Freshmen Orientation, the Freshmen Half Day, and in their lunch study hall during 1st semester.
Students who are interested in becoming an S2S Leader will need to complete the application process during 2nd semester for the following school year. Training and Orientation take place during the summer and leaders will meet with their groups during their lunch period.
