Praveen Kenneth Chair on Leadership held its first webinar for all the students of Christ (Deemed to be University) attended by students of other CHRIST campuses. The title of the event was ‘The Harsh Reality: Making Impossible Possible’ and the session was conducted on the 26 June, 2020.
The webinar was part of the initiative to get the Praveen Kenneth Chair on Leadership's to reach the students of CHRIST in the new Lockdown context where everything was done online due to the lockdown from the pandemic.
The webinar was conceptualized and conducted by the young leaders of the chair.; and it was moderated by the students themselves, and along the staff of the Leadership Chair - Mr. Samuel S George, Mrs. Rashi Rutherkumar Kadabur and the external consultant Col. Ranjeev K Babu.
The Panelists for the webinar were were Kareena Sequeira, Kousik Prabu U, Swathishree BV, and Priya Dwivedi (Student Moderators). The session began with Priya welcoming all the attendees, followed by Nicolan presenting a case study related to the Imposter Syndrome and leaving few questions for the audience to ponder. Next, the panelists Swathishree and Priya took over and explained the concept of Imposter Syndrome in the context of the case study and from their own life's experience. There after, Kousik and Kareena bought the fact that the Answers to the questions often lie within You, leaving the audience with an important underlying question, ‘Is it okay to fail?’
The topics were presented in such a way that it resonated with all the participant students who took part in the webinar. The speakers explained what the topic was about and shared from their own life experiences, making it possible for the students in the audience to relate and connect. The webinar was quite fruitful with many students wanting to know more about the chair, and to become part of the chair. The young leaders received good feedback and appreciation from the students that attended it; and they also received positive feedback from the staff and core team members of the Praveen Kenneth Chair on Leadership.
