"The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. You can't blow an uncertain trumpet." ~ Theodore M. Hesburgh
This session was held to help the supervisors come together as a group and share their experiences and thoughts. The purpose of the meeting was to create a safe space for the supervisors to freely share their thoughts about their work; and how they go about it. The two-hour retrospective session was conducted to provide a platform for supervisors to come together and share what they do with other people with similar roles and responsibilities. The session was also planned to give them visibility of what they are doing; what are some new things they want to put in place; and what are some challenges they are experiencing to showcase those to their supervisors.
The session was facilitated by Ranjeev K Babu, VSM who is a consultant with PKCL. He is an accredited trainer in ICP ACC, ICP ATF, and ICP BAF and consults IT and non-IT companies using the Agile Mindset. What is going well?
What needs to stopped or improved?
What action steps to take?
The session began with having each participant tell one positive thing about the person sitting next to their right. The session then moved to ask the participants write down what are their hopes/expectations; What are the fears on their mind and to get them involved in each of them responding to the question by writing what they are feeling, and thinking on sticky notes so that can collectively see what is going well, what needs to be stopped or improved and what actions steps to take.
