Education

I attended schools in Christian County for grades K-12. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University. My degree is in Elementary Education with an emphasis in science. I have a Master’s degree from Murray State University in reading and writing.

Experience

I have been teaching in Christian County for 20 years. I taught first grade for one year, second grade for seven years, and third grade for twelve years. This year, I am looking forward to teaching second grade once again. For most of my career, I have taught reading, but I have also taught all subject areas.

Family

I was born and raised in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. I am married. My husband, David, is retired from the US Army after serving for 22 years. We have two lovely children, Sarah (age 16) and Nathan (age 11). We also have a cat named Remington (Remi).
