"Broken Crayons Still Color"

All women are invited to an encouraging full-day conference that will grow their faith, no matter where they are in their walk with Jesus. Lunch is included with registration.

A crayon that has been broken can so quickly get pushed to the side or even thrown away because its worth has not been uncovered. But, as we peel back the old, used, and damaged paper, we find that the crayon still has worth and can be used to create something remarkable.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Laura Sandretti

Laura is a speaker, author, and blogger from Sussex, WI. She has a master’s degree in Theological Studies and is a former high school teacher and women’s ministry director. It took many years for her to realize that knowing about God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible is not the same as knowing God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible. Even after she began to see that disconnect, she was not sure how to fix it or be the mother, wife, and human she wished she could become. She aims to provide encouragement and practical tips to help others bridge that divide and hopes that her writing and speaking will broaden your understanding of what you think about yourself and what you deeply believe about God. Those two things determine how we think, talk, and treat others. Jesus’s finished work on the cross is not abstract hope for “good Christians". It is felt peace and freedom that is meant to be realized in every Christ-follower’s actual life.

Susan Perry

Susan is a mother of five adult children and a very blessed grandmother of 13. She recently retired from an exciting and fulfilling 50-year career as a nurse. She became a believer in Jesus Christ 43 years ago after having been on a road to healing from being a victim, and now as a survivor, of spousal abuse.  Since then she has become an advocate for women, whispering the love of Jesus and the hope that He alone can bring into the ears of individuals. In 2016, Susan published a book about her life story titled Beneath the Tarp. She received the Governor’s Domestic Abuse Council Courage Award in October 2016. She was then appointed to continue to work on this council by Governors Walker and Earl. However, Susan truly believes that God is the One who has appointed her to do this because “Hope Does Not Disappoint!”
