Prior to a transaction closing, eXp will issue a Commission Disbursement Authorization (CDA) which lists the commissions to be paid on that transaction.
How commissions are calculated is slightly more complicated at eXp due to several variables, such as agents who have capped either with respect to their commissions or their E&O fees, an agent's participation in the Agent Equity Program, etc.
To help you figure out what your commission is supposed to be on each transaction, we've created a Google Sheet that will help guide you:
Each time you do a transaction, download a copy of the Commission Breakdown Sheet and use it to calculate your commission(s).
On the Commission Breakdown Sheet - please note the following:
The first tab is a Guide which explains what each cell is - be sure to review it prior to using the sheet.
There's a separate tab for each of the following:
Listing Side
Buyer Side
Totals
You should always compare your calculations against the CDA issued by eXp to make sure the numbers are accurate. If there is a discrepancy, email a copy of your Commission Breakdown sheet to the person at eXp who sent you the CDA so that they can help figure out where the issue is.
For additional questions, you can always visit the Accounting Department in eXp World.
