Family, friends, and finding happiness within yourself is what I believe is important in life. I love to travel with my family and visit new cultures and beautiful views. My favorite vacation spot is any kind of beach, both in the rain or in the sunshine. I love to read and have two dogs, Pi and Phoebe, a parrot named Einstein, and a conure named Mango.
My favorite subject in school was always math, so I consider myself lucky that I get to teach a subject that I really enjoy. Math always made sense in the end, and there always seemed to be a solution. This is my 25th year as a math teacher at Chowchilla High School and I have taught all levels of math from math lab up to AP Calculus. I had the distinct pleasure of teaching all five of my children (except my oldest who graduated the same year I graduated from college) and watched all five graduate on the Chowchilla High School football field. I am now blessed to watch my grandchildren graduate on move on to higher education. My two oldest granddaughters are now in college and my two oldest grandsons are here at Chowchilla High School. I believe that education is a life-long pursuit and have earned a bachelor of arts in mathematics, a master of arts in Education, Curriculum and Instruction and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in technology based instruction. I am excited about teaching this year and helping students connect with mathematics.
