CHPS Weekly Noticeboard
Week commencing Monday 9th february 2026
Week commencing Monday 9th february 2026
Whole School - World Book Day will be on Friday 6th March. The children may dress up as their favourite book character, if they wish, or come to school wearing a plain-coloured top, which other children may sign with their book recommendations. We would appreciate a voluntary contribution of £1, which can be paid on Arbor or in cash and given to your child’s class teacher on the day. The money raised will be put towards the libraries on both sites - WBD Letter 2026
Whole School - We have received several reports of head lice across multiple year groups this morning. We kindly remind you to regularly check and comb your child's hair. Removing head lice is the most effective way to prevent the spread. Please see the attached letter for additional information and tips on treating head lice - Whole School Letters
Whole School - Spring Parents' Evening bookings ARE OPEN on Arbor and will close at midday on Monday 9th March. Dates are for both Rooksdown and Greenbank on Tuesday 10th February and Thursday 12th February, between 15:45 & 18:45*. These are 10-minute face-to-face appointments with your child's teacher. Please follow the instructions in this link to book your appointment through Arbor - Arbor Booking Guidance for Parents Evening.
Please Note:
You are limited to one appointment per child due to the high pupil numbers and time constraints. If you require a second slot due to exceptional circumstances, please speak directly to the Class Teacher, who will check if an additional appointment can be accommodated.
*If your child is in Mrs Mundee/Miss Cocker/Miss Mould's Year 5 Class at Greenbank, you have alternative parent evening dates of Tuesday 10th March and Thursday 12th March, but you are still able to book on Arbor. This is now open for booking.
SEND Parents - SEND Spring Parents' evening has been arranged for Monday 23rd February* between 15:40 and 18:00. Limited slots are available via Arbor (please see the Arbor Booking Guidance link below) on a first-come, first-served basis. These slots will be 20 minutes long to allow for a more detailed discussion of pupil progress. If no slots are available, your child's teacher will contact you to arrange an alternative date and time.
*If your child is in Mrs Mundee/Miss Cocker/Miss Mould's Year 5 Class at Greenbank, you will have an alternative SEND parent evening date, and this is to be confirmed. Once confirmed, you will be able to book your slot on Arbor. There will be a separate communication regarding this.
Year 5 - We can now confirm that the Stubbington Residential is confirmed for the week of Monday 14th September to Friday 18th September 2026. All information and the payment plan can be found in this letter - Year 5 Group Letters. Open day information can be found here - https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/stubbingtonstudycentre/opendays
We hope you appreciate how busy the school receptions are and the volume of emails we receive in the school admin inbox each day. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a same-day response, but we will endeavour to respond within 48 hours. For any changes to that day's collection arrangement, please leave a message on the dedicated collection line before 2:45 PM so the information reaches the classroom before dismissal. If your query is urgent, please phone the school office.
Please can we remind all parents to order school lunches by midnight the night before. This will eliminate the need for the school to call home and for you to make a last-minute trip to school with a lunchbox.
If you have any spare plastic swimming caps you would like to donate to the school, we would be very grateful!
