Salut ! Quoi de neuf ?!
Je m'appelle Madame Reese et je suis professeur de français à Chippewa Falls Middle School. My name is Madame Reese and I'm the French Teacher at CFMS. My pronouns are she/her/hers. This is my 14th year teaching at CFMS and I teach French Culture (6th grade), Exploratory French (7th grade) and French 1 (8th grade). In addition to teaching French, I am also a facilitator in the Student Connections Group, True Colors, which is a group for LGBTQIA+ youth. I am an ally and advocate for all LGBTQIA+.
I am 38 years old and was born and raised in Chippewa Falls. I went to Hillcrest Elementary (Go Hound Dogs!), CFMS and Chi Hi. I have a wife named Chelsea. I also have two daughters, Nora & Hollis. I also have one dog, Rue. Rue is a French word meaning road or street. As you can see, French is my passion. :)
I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a double major in French Teaching and Elementary Education in 2011. I also studied French in France at the Université de Pau et Pays de l'Adour in 2008.
Traveling to France is one of my favorite things to do. I have been to France 7 times! I have traveled to France for fun, lived with a French family while studying French at a university. I also worked in France for a summer at a camp for kids called Little Big Land. Additionally, I chaperoned three of the Chi-Hi trips to France and took students there during the summer. I am heading back to France in June 2025 to chaperone my 4th Chi-Hi trip!
I am excited for another great school year with my future Frenchies at CFMS. Go Cardinals!
Merci beaucoup,
Madame Reese
