Welcome to Introduction to Business & Marketing! In this course you will build a working knowledge of the foundations for business and marketing courses and careers. You will also explore Business and Marketing student organizations. You will have the option to become a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) or DECA and will explore project options and curriculum related to FBLA and DECA.

All projects in this course will be worth 5 points and graded using a standards based grading rubric. The students will be given the grading rubric with criteria for each performance indicator aligned with the level of understanding.
0 (No Evidence) No judgement can be made or the task has not been completed or turned in for evaluation.
1 (Beginning) A limited understanding of the priority standard has been demonstrated. More practice needed.
2 (Progressing) There is a basic understanding of the priority standard. Student is progressing toward full understanding and more practice may be necessary.
3 (Proficient) Student has demonstrated a full understanding of the priority standard. There are minor gaps in understanding.
4 (Advanced Proficient) Student has demonstrated a complete level of understanding of the priority standard at a level exceeding the expectation.
5 (Mastery) Student has demonstrated a complex level of understanding and has mastered the concepts in multiple areas.
On the 5 point scale, the grades represent the following percentages.
5: 100% - 4: 90% - 3: 80% - 2: 70% - 1: 60% - 0: 0%
