We have implementing new policies to our grading at the high school. They are similar to the middle school policies, but not everything is the same. Here are the main points:

• Homework and classwork are designed to provide the student with an opportunity to practice the unit objectives. They are considered formative and will be 30% of your grade.
  • Assignments will be due at the beginning of class unless otherwise stated. It is your responsibility to get assignments completed as part of the learning process and to be able to partake in related class discussions.
• Any assessment (test or quiz) that is missed will need to be made up promptly (i.e.the day you come back) as they will be announced well ahead of time. These are considered summative and will be 70% of your grade
  • You will be able to make test corrections
    • only if you have all the formative work completed at 60% or better,
      • by filing out a TEST CORRECTION REQUEST to schedule the corrections within a week of tests being returned.
    • You can only earn ½ credit for the problems you correct to the instructor's satisfaction.
• Your grade will be calculated as followed: first quarter 40%, second quarter 40%, final exam 20%
• Academic Integrity: All parties involved in cheating and plagiarism will be dealt with accordingly (see Academic Integrity Policy), there are no exceptions!
