Meet Your Teacher

I was born in Eau Claire and grew-up in Chippewa Falls . I attended Stillson Elementary School, the Chippewa Falls Middle School, and graduated from Chi-Hi. I am a huge sports fan and enjoy both, participating and watching all kinds of sports from basketball to table tennis. While I enjoy all kinds of sports my two favorite sports to watch and play are baseball and hockey, which I also played in high school at Chi-Hi.

Although I really wasn't involved with many music classes growing-up I have developed a love for a wide range of music over the years and, on occasion, will participate in a little car karaoke! (if you see me blaring out a song in the car please act like its normal;) As a result of my wide array of interests some may say that I have a very eclectic personality in addition to my love of sports and SCIENCE of course!

After graduating from Chi-Hi I went on to attend UW - Eau Claire where I majored in Biology and minored in Pre-professional Health Science (Pre-Dentistry). Upon graduating with my Bachelors at UWEC I pursued many different interests while looking for my niche and found it while coaching youth hockey in Chippewa Falls. I loved coaching so much that I decided I would go back to graduate school to become a science coach (science teacher;). I attended Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and received my teaching certification as well as a majority of my grad credits.

When I completed my teaching certification I applied for Biology teaching positions across the country and ended up teaching high school biology from 2010 to 2015 in Prescott, AZ (located in north central Arizona) before getting the 6th Grade Science position at my alma mater CFMS! This year will be my 8th year back home and I'm so excited to be back teaching in Chippewa Falls and looking forward to the school year ahead!!!
