Good morning CFHS Band Fam!

As we mentioned at the Info Meeting on Tuesday, all students will need to 'register' for marching band with the Activities and Athletics Office. You can do so by following this link:

By registering through the school website we do not need to collect the various forms and paperwork that we used to. It is all taken care of in one spot!

Remember that you do NOT pay the $20 Activity fee through the high school office. The $20 Marching Band fee is different; a later email will explain how you might choose to pay that.

You do NOT need a medical physical for marching band.

Chi Hi Marching Cardinals

Good morning CFHS Band Fam!

The marching band has our second rehearsal coming up next week on Tuesday, July 11 from 5pm-8pm at the high school. If this caught you by surprise, you may have missed the earlier emails (starting last spring) that included the season calendar. No worries - you can find another copy here on the website.

SPECIAL NOTE: At 7:30pm we will be moving inside for a PARENT MEETING in the band. This will be a brief 30-minute opportunity for us to go over the calendar, talk about the upcoming season, highlight some parent help we need, and then answer questions! If you are new to marching band at Chi Hi this will be a great chance for you to get some more information. If you have already been in marching band before, this is a great chance to learn about some new ways that you could get involved and spend time with a great group of students. We look forward to providing this opportunity for you to ask questions.

At our June rehearsal we cranked out the first ten pages of drill for the show. The plan for this coming Tuesday is to learn as much of the remaining drill for the opener as we can. 

Speaking of drill, the band website has been updated. You can get your updated drill charts on the website by clicking the link and logging in with your @chipfalls.org information. You can watch a video of the entire opener. You can print copies of anything you need, or download/screenshot it onto your phone or device.

If you aren't going to be at rehearsal, you just need to let us know. Seriously, just let us know. Communicate with us. It is really easy - just email Mr. Renneke or Mr. Olson (or both!) so that we can plan accordingly. While we don't get mad, we are expecting all students to be at rehearsal - we learned a bunch of drill at our last rehearsal and we want to keep this train rolling!
