College of Nursing - The University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Nursing offers undergraduate and graduate nursing education programs. The undergrad Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is available in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Ile-a-la-Crosse, Lloydminster, Yorkton, North Battleford, Muenster, Weyburn, and Swift Current. The BSN program is a 1+ 3 model; students take one year of pre-professional year courses, followed by three years of nursing education. Master of Nursing (Professional Practice and Thesis), Master of Public Health Nursing (NEW), Nurse Practitioner (Revised Program), and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing graduate programs are delivered online, meaning students can study across Canada. College of Medicine - Department of Family Medicine, Swift Current Site - The University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine has a Family Medicine Residency Training Site in Swift Current. After the completion of medical school, residents complete an additional 2 years of training to become a family physician. The scope of family physicians in our community includes work in obstetrics, emergency medicine, addictions medicine, hospitalist medicine, long term care, and clinic. We love what we do and can't wait to share it with you!
