In the 2023-2024 school year, Childress FCCLA had an abundant amount of success and achieved several historical milestones.

Service:
As a chapter,  Childress FCCLA had a total student members of 74. These 74 students were responsible for collecting and donating over 1600 non-perishable food items to Childress Meals on Wheels and over 300 clothing & hygiene products to Childress County Christmas Sharing as a part of our Fall Giving Thanks Drive. Additionally, several multiple volunteered at both the Christmas in the Park community event as booth works and the Charity Dinner as servers.

Aside from organized Chapter Community Service Projects, Childress FCCLA members volunteered at Childress Elementary School and Childress Blue Crew throughout the school year as teachers' aids and group leaders.

Conferences:
At the Region I Leadership Conference, Childress FCCLA had 5 teams compete in various events, with 4 of those teams qualifying for the State Leadership Conference and 1 team qualifying for the National Leadership Conference in Seattle, Washington.

Additionally, Childress FCCLA's own Kimi Ward, presided over the Region I Leadership conference as the 2023-2024 Region I President. While carrying out her duties as president, Kimi also ran for a State Officer position, of which she was elected to be one of the two National Officer Candidates from Texas. This was a feat never before accomplished by a member of Childress FCCLA.

At the National Leadership Conference, the Public Policy team of Zoe Detwiler, Keely Mock, and Alex Varner placed 15th overall in the Nation for their research on work on implementing the district-wide phone ban at Childress ISD. Chapter President, Alexis Garza served as a volunteer, assisted in content creation, and took the Consumer Knowledge chllenge test at the National Leadership Conference. National Officer Candidate, Kimi, was elected to serve on the 2024-2025 National Executive Council as the Vice President of Public Relations.

• Amy Detwiler was a nominee at the Texas State Leadership Conference to receive the Spirit of Advising Award. 

• Amy Detwiler and Jeffrey Collins served in the capacity of Region Officer Advisers which included, but was not limited to, assisting with June Leadership Training, Fall Leadership Workshop, Region Executive Council Meeting, Region I Conference, Region III Conference, and State Leadership Conference.

• Detwiler and Collins were selected to serve 3-year terms on the Texas FCCLA State Visionary Committee.

• Upon Kimi's election to State Office, Detwiler and Collins assumed the role of State Officer Advisers for the 2024-2025 school year.

• Upon Kimi's election to the National Executive Council, Detwiler assumed the role of National Executive Council Adviser for the 2024-2025 school year.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Childress FCCLA saw yet another record-setting year of growth in membership. This year, although only having two students qualify to attend the National Leadership Conference, was a great year of learning, growth, and development for not only the Advisers, but the chapter as a whole. The 2022-2023 school year also saw Childress FCCLA re-entering the ranks of Region and State Officers.

Additionally, Childress FCCLA's own Kimi Ward, ran for Region Office and was elected as the 2023-2024 Region I President. 

At the 2024 National Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado, Corbin Daniel was chosen to give a RED Talk over the research she had done on Teacher Retention for her Professional Presentation STAR Event. RED Talks on Education would go on to become a National STAR Event in 2023-2024. Additionally, Kimi Ward served as one of the Texas Voting Delegates for the Business Session and National Officer Election process.

The 2021-2022 school year saw record breaking growth and continued achievement for the Childress FCCLA chapter. In her first year as an adviser, Amy Detwiler ushered in a new era for Childress FCCLA by increasing membership by 353%, as well as founding the, now annual, FCCLA Winter Formal.
