The course is open to all grade levels and is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of acting and the world of the theatre. Units covering auditioning, different methods of acting, improvisation, script writing, monologues, and character analysis. Full play and musical production will be emphasized.

You will have the opportunity to experience theatre behind the scenes—the magic of theatre. You will be given the chance to participate in: Script Study • Scenic Design • Costume Design • Prop Design • and much more. You will learn all this and more during the course of the year by creating 2 full-length theatrical productions for real audiences.

This course is designed for the advanced drama student who wishes to refine their acting technique or technical knowledge to professional performance quality. One Act scenes, script analysis, advanced theory, improvisation, script writing, character analysis, directing, and full play and musical production will be emphasized.
