I have an amazing husband, Steve Bunch. He is a stucco contractor and has been in the trade for over 30 years in the Chico area. He runs Steve Bunch Plastering.
Dillon is my 19 year old son. He graduated from Durham High School and will be attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo to study Plant and Soil Science.
Ava is my 12 year old daughter. She is active in dancing, basketball, and many other activities. She is very outgoing and enjoys school. Ava is a 7th grader at Durham Intermediate School.
Hobbies:
When I am not teaching, I have many hobbies including: spending time with family, traveling, photography, reading, cooking, paper crafts and quilting.
My Goals:
As an educator, my ultimate goal is to strengthen students' natural tendencies to observe and wonder about the world. Helping them develop the lifetime habits of mind to "get messy" with learning - to experiment, discover, take risks, grow, and reflect - that is why I teach. I strongly believe the best educational results happen when schools partner with parents and the community. I encourage your input - you are the expert on your child!
Love Teaching:
I am a lifelong learner and want to share this love with students. The challenge of inspiring children and finding ways to best deliver instruction to meet their needs, continues to drive me everyday. Watching my own children love school also pushes me to create an environment for other students to feel the same way.

Our classroom pet is a Parrotlet named Lolly. She is a Blue Pacific Parrotlet. Lolly is still very young and learning proper behavior. She is a lot of fun to watch and listen to when she is singing. Come in and meet her when you get the chance.
Parrotlets are the smallest of the New World parrot species and are sometimes called "Pocket Parrots". They are feisty, affectionate, and willful.
