Kristy Klein, School Counselor: Provides short-term individual counseling, group counseling, lunch bunch, and student check-ins.  

Sagan Sheridan, Counseling Assistant: Provides short-term friendship groups (3-4 students), PALS (2-3 students), and POPS (1 student), Lunch Bunch, and check-ins.  

Alex Mendoza, Targeted Case Manager: Supports families in promoting their child’s success in school and at home by connecting them with community resources.

Jamie Holland, MTSS Coordinator: Oversees Marigold's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework that helps us provide academic, social-emotional, and behavioral strategies for all students.   

Social and Emotional Lessons Weekly: Tk-2nd grade with Ms. Sagan and 3rd-5th grade with Mrs. Klein.

Group Counseling:  30 minutes sessions facilitated by Ms. Klein for groups of 3-5 students focused on various topics, including social skill development, emotional regulation, self-esteem building, anxiety management, and other social-emotional skills. 

Individual Counseling: 30-minute, one-on-one counseling meetings facilitated by Ms. Klein to address specific areas of need. 

Friendship Group:  30 minutes sessions facilitated by Ms.Klein, & Ms.Sagan for groups of 3-4 students focused on peer interactions and relationship building.

POP/PALS:  Child-directed play focused on relationship and social skill development provided by. PALS is for groups of 2-3 students. 

Lunch Bunch:  Students are invited to bring a friend(s) to enjoy lunch in the counseling office with Ms.Klein or Ms.Sagan.  Students may be chosen strategically to assist with social connectedness, reward progress on a goal, or give students a needed boost to look forward to. 

Check-In:  15-minute meeting for any student requesting a check-in or identified as a student in need of support.  Staff and parents/guardians often refer students for check-ins when they are coping with loss, transitions, and other challenging life events.
