The Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) is proud of the summer camps we have developed. We take great care in SELECTING the best individuals we can to continue the success of the camps. Last Summer, CARD's Inclusion Team provided support for over 50 children with physical or developmental disabilities across all of our Summer Camps. Mentors like you provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment for these kids to succeed and thrive.

It’s true, you do get PAID TO PLAY! How we play is very important. The main focus of summer camp is to provide a SAFE environment where the campers have FUN and feel SUPPORTED by their 1:1 Aides. This is accomplished by selecting individuals who have a desire to work with children, who have experience working with physical and developmental differences, and who operate within the boundaries defined by CARD.
