Besides full-time and part-time English native teachers, CHHS FRP also accepts interns from overseas. The program is named “International Internship Program".

FAQs

Q: Who is eligible to apply for an internship position?

A: We typically accept new graduates who are exploring career opportunities. If you are still studying at university, you must obtain official permission from your school to temporarily pause your studies.

You should demonstrate academic strengths to better assist prospective ESL students.

Each applicant must be endorsed by a university lecturer familiar with your academic performance and personal integrity. A written recommendation is mandatory.

2. Q: What does an internship position involve?

A: An intern primarily works as an assistant to English teachers (both native and non-native). Key responsibilities include: designing courses, leading study groups or workshops, participating in school activities and events, and teaching classes.

3. Q: How long does an internship period last, and when is the best time to apply?

A: The internship lasts a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks. The best times to start are in February and September. Please allow at least three months for planning and preparation, as processing your application will also take time.

4. Q: Is it a paid position?

Foreign visitors are not permitted to work for wages or salaries. However, free on-campus accommodation will be provided, and you might also receive some weekly allowances but it varies on a case-by-case basis. Please note that flight expenses will not be covered.
