GRADING POLICY
Grades are calculated based on the number of points earned.
The points are weighted by category.
Computer Assignments: 25%
Classwork/Homework: 25%
Chapter Test: 20%
Participation: 20%
Quiz: 10%
In the Home Access Center, students can easily follow their grades as well as missing assignments. Students are responsible for getting the work that they miss when they are absent.
HOMEWORK/CLASSWORK
Each day while we are virtual, students will have a daily check-in that they will need to complete.
In Class: Work that does not have a name on it will not be graded. Work that does not have a name on it is hung on the back board for one week to give the students an opportunity to claim their work.
Classwork is due at the end of class
Homework is due on the assigned date
Late homework and classwork is accepted, however points may be taken off according to how late the work is. Students have the opportunity to correct and resubmit classwork and homework in order to improve their score. Students are encouraged to come talk to me if there are specific reasons that their homework is late or missing.
Project Assessments
Students will have projects, both in the virtual and brick and mortar classroom. Students may resubmit a project or retake an assessment as many times as they wish in order to improve their grade. Students will need to make arrangements in order to retake an assessment.
I look forward to working with you to help your student excel and succeed.
