Ms. Lestino - K-6th Grade Art
About Me:
BA: Goucher College
MAT: Maryland Institute College of Art
Hello! My name is Ms. Lestino. This is my 4th year teaching at CES. Previously, I have taught at Franklin Elementary in Reisterstown, Maryland and Friends School of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. My favorite art medium is printmaking and I like to create linocut prints and paint in my artistic practice.
In the art room, your child will engage with a wide variety of materials, including painting, printmaking, drawing, collage, 3D design, and sculpture. We will study artists from ancient to contemporary and learn about a wide array of cultural artistic expressions. Students will learn how to develop creative problem solving skills, express themselves, collaborate with their peers, and learn critical thinking habits.
