My Teaching Career: Elementary Education, 10 years+, Internship completed here at Chesterfield. I earned my undergrad at Rowan University and I earned a Master Degree in Leadership and Administration. Future goals are to complete my PhD/ EdD in Education and be in a leadership role.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my enthusiasm to be teaching at Chesterfield Elementary School. My name is Jaclyn Schaffer and I will be your child’s new Teacher for Kindergarten. I look forward to watching your child grow.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Writing Arts and Education from Rowan University. This October I will have earned my Masters Degree in Administration and Leadership. In the past year of my career, my concentration has been bridging the literacy gap in all academic subjects. My prior teaching experience includes 3rd grade, Kindergarten and Pre-K, Fifth grade and Upper Elementary Language Arts. I have a passion for teaching and working with children. It is my hope that during my time at Chesterfield Elementary, I will be able to share my love of learning with your child.
As a teacher I hope to bring a state of wonderment to your student’s life, helping them ask questions about the amazing world around them, and guiding them through learning experiences that will enhance their understanding of the academic world. I believe that every lesson should be relevant to a student’s life and it is with this in mind, that I approach teaching your child. Even though this year has been unlike any others, I am confident that we will have a wonderful, successful, and fun year! I will do my best to make sure your child has a positive school experience.
I look forward to working with the other staff members to make your child’s experience here the most beneficial for them that it can be. You are an integral part of your child’s success and I am excited to be partnering with you as we strive toward the goal of education for your child. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact me. Communication is the key in your child’s learning! We are going to have a great year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Schaffer
