The Art program at Dickerson is devoted to the development of individual expression, creative problem solving and aesthetic awareness in our students. Our unique art curriculum takes a multidisciplinary approach to the cultivation of confident, expressive and enthusiastic young learners.
The students at Dickerson will explore a diverse range of art concepts and processes that will foster and encourage critical thinking, innovation and problem solving. Students will learn to independently navigate our art studio in a productive manner as positive contributors to our art room community.
Be sure to check out the student art galleries in the navigation menu for a peek inside the art room. Stay tuned for information about our annual art show in June!
Where all the magic happens.....
Hello! My name is Dana Katzenoff and I have been teaching Art at Dickerson since 2010. I received my Bachelor of Art Education from Montclair State University and Master of Fine Art from William Paterson University, 2016. I currently reside in Morris Plains, New Jersey, with my husband. I love art making, hiking, music, cooking, plants and family time.
Art is on a cart this year for hybrid learning. Click the link above and also check out the Back to School Night slideshow for tips on how to prepare materials for your child's hybrid art experience.
