Cafeteria/Lunch Guidelines & Rules

You can bring lunch from home or purchase a meal/snack/drink during lunchtime.

The rules in the cafeteria are alot like the rules in your classroom.

1. Listen carefully and respectfully to the adults. When an adult is talking, you are not.
2. Sit at your assigned table except unless you are eating at the peanut/tree nut free table.
3. Wait at your seat before going to the food service area. When you get there make a single file line.
4. Walk to wherever you are going.
5. Talk to your friends at a reasonable level. That means, the same way you would in your classroom.
6. Clean up after yourself. Remember to check the table top and the area under your seat. If you drop something, pick it up.
7. The only time you should be out of your seat is when you are buying your lunch/drink/snack, throwing out your trash, or going to bathroom/nurse/office.

When you leave the cafeteria you must sign out. When you get back you must sign in.

Recess Guidelines, Rules & Expectations

Recess is outside on the field, playground, basketball court, and Gaga Pit. On days we have bad weather you will be inside your classroom or in the gym. Some days the ground is too wet/muddy to use for recess but it is still nice enough to be outside. On those days recess will be in the bus loop.

Play by the rules and be honest/fair.

Recess is over when you hear the whistle. That means you must STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING and get in line in a fast but safe manner.

Always lineup with your homeroom. Once you are in line you should act the same you do when you line up in your classroom. That means we expect you to be quiet and listening.

Keep their hands, feel, and bodies to yourself. Intentionally tripping/pushing/ shoving is unsafe and not allowed.

No one is allowed to climb on trees or play in the wooded areas on the outside of the fields.
