WELCOME TO DOOLITTLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER
Hi there, everyone! My name is Mr. Brumleve and I am Doolittle's Library Media Specialist!! I am so excited to welcome you to the our wonderful library media center. The Doolittle Library Media Center is perfect for all types of learners and patrons.
Do you like to read different and exciting books? We have a wide range of fun, unique, and interesting fiction and non-fiction books, as we are always adding more.
Do you enjoy researching new topics? We work to explore and discover through research-based activities with different media.
Do you enjoy designing and building? We will use our imagination, creativity, and problem solving skills to take on STEAM-related activities.
If you have a passion for reading, enjoy learning new things through research, and are interested in using your engineering skills and imagination to create designs and solve real-world problems, then Doolittle's library is just right for you! Our library is right in the center of our library, with a beautiful and active courtyard full of critters. We have a Research/Classroom Area, as well as a Story Area, where our wonderful learning takes place.
Our library contains over 7,000 pieces of fiction and non-fiction material, including print and electronic options. We focus on providing students and faculty with access to materials for both entertainment and learning, and we work hard to connect with curriculum and classroom topics, for extra reinforcement.
Our curriculum is not based on just reading books and talking about them, but so much more! We focus on Inquiry-based Research, STEAM Activities, Digital Citizenship, Design Thinking Skills, Computer Science, Library Organization, and Comprehension with Fiction and Non-Fiction materials.
Our staff includes:
Library Media Specialist - Raymond Brumleve
