Best Buddies

What is Best Buddies?

Best Buddies is a club that fosters one-to-one friendships between students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Students with IDD are often isolated and left out of social activities. Best Buddies helps to create an inclusive school climate for students early on in their educational development.

The Dodd Best Buddies Chapter meets one time per month after school. We also look for volunteers for in school activities during lunch waves and I Block. In addition, we will attend CHS Best Buddies Community Events from time to time.

We are able to work around student's sport commitments and other extra curricular activities (drama club, music clubs etc.). Believing in the mission of inclusion and friendship on our main goal.
