About me
Hello my name is Mr. Sager! I am the Health and Physical Education Teacher at Chesaning High School. I have been at CHS since 2013 and prior to that I taught at Owosso Middle School for 13 years. My first 5 years at Chesaning I was the Athletic Director and in 2018 I chose to head back to the classroom and get back into coaching.
I am a proud graduate of Chesaning High School and upon graduation I attended Saginaw Valley State University where I played football for 2 years. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from SVSU with a major in History and a minor in Physical and Health Education. I also earned my Masters Degree from SVSU in Educational Leadership (Administration).
I was the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at CHS from 2019 and I stepped down after the season the past spring. I have also coached football at Chesaning and Owosso for 20 years and I coached basketball at Chesaning at multiple levels for several years as well.
I have been married to my wife Linette and we celebrated 25 years of marriage in June. We have two sons, Tyler and Brady.
Tyler is a 2022 graduate of CHS and was a 3 sport athlete at CHS. He currently is a Senior at Northwood University and is studying Finance. Tyler also plays baseball at Northwood, where he is a pitcher for the Timberwolves and last season they went to the Division II College World Series.
Brady is a 2025 graduate of CHS and was a 3 sport athlete at CHS. Brady is a Freshman at Alma College and is studying Finance. Brady will also be playing baseball for the Scots this spring.
