Accessing PowerSchool and Schoology

All Cherry Creek School District staff, students, and families access student information systems and course information at my.cherrycreekschools.org
User names are generated automatically. If a user name is not known, please call your school counselor.
Students new to the district will start by using their student ID as the password and will be prompted to change it after logging in for the first time.
If you are NOT new to CCSD and have forgotten your password, please select the “forgot password” feature on the my.cherrycreek.org webpage.
If you have been locked out, try waiting 15 minutes and trying again.

What is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool is a web-based Student Information System (SIS) that provides up-to-date information to school administrators, teachers, parents and students about student attendance and grade history, as well as notes and comments from teachers.
How do I get to PowerSchool?
Parents and Students can log in to PowerSchool by first logging in to my.cherrycreekschools.org and then selecting the PowerSchool tile, or from http://powerschool.cherrycreekschools.org
PowerSchool is the official grade book for WMS. (You may be able to see grades in Schoology, but PowerSchool is the grade book of record.)

What information can I access in PowerSchool?
Current attendance
Weekly grade updates
Check individual graded assignments
Missing or late assignments
To send an email to a teacher in PowerSchool:
Select the teacher's name highlighted in blue.
To set up automatic weekly grade updates from PowerSchool:
Locate the navigation tool on left side
Select Email Notification
Check the box next to the info you would like to receive
Click "Submit" (bottom right)
What is Schoology?
Schoology is the app or online learning platform that will hold all of your courses, assignments, online work.

How do I get to Schoology?
Login to my.cherrycreekschools.org
Click on the "Schoology" tile
Top right hand corner drop down to select view as "student" or "parent"
Do not have a Parent Schoology account?
Select the link above then select Create Parent Account.
NOTE: it may take up to 24 hours to access Schoology after setup

What information can I access in Schoology?
Your "homepage" is the first place you'll land every time you log in to Schoology.
Your homepage may display Recent Activity or Course Dashboard.
Courses: all classes, and sometimes groups or clubs (WEB, NJHS, Affinity, etc.), that students are enrolled in.
The following may be found within a selected course:
Class updates and announcements
Weekly assignments and due dates
Class expectations, resources, and materials
Teacher's contact information
Class calendar and Teams Meeting links
"Unofficial" grades and assignment status
Page updated
