NSS Affective support in Advisory classes
Advanced Learning Plan development and progress monitoring of academic and affective (social/emotional) goals
Consultation and collaboration between NSS teachers and general education teachers, counselors, and special service providers to provide a variety of support including:
Affective and academic needs of GT learners
Differentiation support
Co-planning and co-teaching opportunities
Facilitation of CCSD gifted identification process
Talent development support via electives courses
Communication of enrichment and extracurricular opportunities
Provide programming that is designed to meet the academic and affective needs of gifted and talented learners
Progress monitor growth in areas of exceptionality (strengths-based) and affective needs
Academic Rubrics aligned with area(s) of formal identification
Feedback from students and teachers to assess progress on both academic and affective goals
Academic goals - progress monitored in General Education classes with support from NSS teachers
Affective goals - progress monitored directly with NSS teachers
