Willow Creek policy states:
Birthday parties are not to be held at school, including bringing classroom treats. Because of severe allergies and other health implications, as well as respecting all cultures and beliefs about ‘celebrations’, all grade levels will adhere to this expectation.
Having a child celebrate his/her birthday with classmates is an important part of development. Each class has their own way of having a small celebration for each child. During the month of May we will celebrate the birthdays of children born in the summer. If your child has a summer birthday and you would prefer to celebrate your child's half birthday instead, please let us know.
Birthday party planning needs to be an at home activity. Birthday invitations and thank you notes will NOT be passed out at school. Thank you!
