Quinn Rudnick Journalism Portfolio

My name is Quinn Rudnick (he/him), and I am a junior and student journalist at Cherry Creek High School.

I am currently the Junior Editor-in-Chief and Sports editor for the Cherry Creek high school's news publication, the Union Street Journal. My profile is linked here. Leaving high school, I intend to pursue a dual major in Political Science and International Policy, and go into political journalism as a career.

I've been on staff at he Union Street Journal for two years now, and I can't imagine doing anything differently. My experience with this staff has taught me so much, from how to take photos, how to set up an interesting shot, how to build a portfolio, and how to build up relationships, both professional and personal. When I first started here, I didn't know how to format a story, much less work a camera. But I began to pick up stories, and start attending events to cover. I found opportunities to start taking photos through the articles I've been writing, and I've grown into someone who feels confident in a field full of other photographers. I've learned so much, yet there's always more to learn. I'm so thankful to the staff I work with for providing me with these opportunities.
