Parents, an email will be going out to families on Thursday, March 26th, with information and expectations regarding remote learning. If you did not receive that email, the information can be found here:
1) Remote Learning Info (Parent Letter)
2) Remote Learning Info (Student Letter)
Dear students and families,
I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits amidst these difficult times! I am beyond thrilled to get back into the saddle of learning together, and I feel so blessed to work in a district that is committed to excellence for both our families, and our educators.
With my team of Language Arts teachers, we have collaborated to create a unique remote learning experience for your student to continue gaining and gathering knowledge from home! I am SO excited to see where remote learning takes us, and I will be with you every step of the way.
Let’s do this!
I know we are navigating through new waters, but the sweetest part is that we get to do it together! I am so excited to start this new adventure.
With love,
Chloe Prochaska

Your student MUST have their personal choice book with them every single day in class starting. Please know that these personal choice books will be used in class daily, so your child will need to carry this back and forth between home and school!

Homework expectations - Now that your student has chosen their book, they will be able to read it at their own pace provided they complete it by 11/18. Students will be taught a different reading skill every couple days or so. They will take notes on this skill in their composition notebook. Students' homework will ask them to identify whatever the skill is we are learning in their personal choice novel as they read. For example, this week we are learning Figurative Language. As they see examples of Figurative Language, they should record them in their notebooks.

[A Note From the Principal]
While there are policies around bathroom passes, students at Infinity will not be denied the use of the restroom. Students in 6th grade receive 3 bathroom passes per core class per quarter and elective classes do not have a limited pass system for bathroom use. Nurse visits do not count as bathroom passes and there are no bathroom restrictions during lunch, except for when students go outside for recess; however, students get an extra 3 minutes to get to class from lunch when they can also use the bathroom. If a student uses their 3 passes in a specific class during the quarter, they will not be denied the ability to use the restroom; students will be expected to make up the instructional time missed with the teacher either after school or at lunch (per the teacher's discretion) for the amount of time they were out of the classroom.
